Your private research workspace

Shortlists, comparisons, notes, saved searches and draft research records use browser storage. They are not an account-backed cloud workspace. Someone with access to the same browser profile may be able to access that work.

Exports create files on your device. Imports read the file you select and merge supported local records. Downloaded attachments and exported drafts need to be managed separately. See Help for backup instructions before deleting site data.

Requests made while using the site

Opening the website requests pages and data from its hosting service. Interactive maps request tiles and other resources from map providers. These services receive network information needed to deliver those requests, such as an IP address, requested URL and browser information, and may retain operational logs.

Some property research controls send the selected property identifier or checklist data to the site’s server to produce a response or perform the displayed source check. Read the result’s storage and publication status. A locally saved correction or lead draft is not automatically submitted for publication.

The application uses Railway hosting, OpenStreetMap and Esri map resources, Google Fonts and unpkg-hosted map software. A particular property may also show imagery or records from a linked government, listing or mapping service. Requests to those services are subject to their practices.

Following a source link takes you to another website. Review that site’s privacy terms before entering personal information or using an account. Source links and screenshots are not an invitation to share private documents, credentials or access tokens.

Email, feedback and local controls

The site does not currently provide functioning email subscription delivery or a connected public support inbox. The correction-note tool on the Help page generates a local file and sends no message.

You can remove locally stored research using your browser’s site-data controls. Export first if you need to keep it. Removing browser data does not remove files you downloaded, records held by source websites, or hosting and third-party operational logs.

Scope of this notice

This notice describes the currently published website features. It does not promise a fixed retention period for third-party logs or automatic deletion from external services. New account, delivery or submission features should explain their data use before asking you to use them.
